"Birds of a Feather"
24" x 18"  Oil on Linen

The story behind the painting.
In this painting you can see that the green eyed lady is looking for understanding, and the Raven is taking an interest is what she is about to do. She’s alone in the woods and cannot fine her way out of her thoughts. In her mind, it’s as if the woods are a sign of her entanglement. The Raven is about to call out to her as if to say, I know of your concern and I feel for you. They will begin to consort, and fine a way out of this entanglement she thinks she is in. As we look closely she is embracing her heart, a sign that maybe the two have in common. The Raven is the stronger of the two, but who knows if the Raven knows of her heart. And the kinship of  the two may now have reconciled her dilemma. The two can now leave the woods and only God knows if the heart is released to find understanding.
