" A Little Whisper"

24x18 oil/linen

Anthony A. González

Had fun painting this one. I added the black bird to give the model
a reason for that expression.
You can interpret this painting in many ways.
Let me know what you think.

"Just Waiting"
16x12 oil/linen

Anthony A. González

This was a great pose to work with. It had a great look. Her expression
said everything. Everyone looks for a story in a painting, here the viewer can
make up his or hers own story.
I've adding a virtual magazine link below. My painting is on the cover.
I hope you can see it.

"Does it show"
12x9 oil/linen
Anthony A. González

The model was moving about when I saw a bit of attitude. That is all I
needed to choose this pose. The colors I chose were on the green side.
It was easy to have color harmony.

"Raven Black"
12x9 oil/linen

by
Anthony A. González

I think the title says it all. It's all about her hair.

"Servant to None"

28x22 oil/linen

AnthonyA. González

Okay, this painting has color, warm color, and it was fun painting it.
I tried to have a good composition, and to express her attitude.
I think it worked.

"On My Way"

16x12 oil/linen

Anthony A. González

This painting is a little different, even for me. I like the green colors that
gave the painting a unifying feeling.

"Assured"

36"X24" oil/linen

Anthony A. González

This painting took me a little longer to complete because the
background had many elements to workout. But all in all I'm
pleased with it. I think her face in shadow worked very well,
and there is some attitude in her stance.

"Captivating"

36x20 oil/linen
By

Anthony A. González

The expression gave this painting its title.
The model chose this outfit and it worked. It came
together very well. I had no trouble choosing this pose to paint.
It's simple but elegant.

" Too Little Too Late"

16x12 oil/linen
By

Anthony A. González

I called it "Too Little Too Late" because of her attitude and expression.
It's not too often that a painting can tell us a story with one look.
People will always have an expression no matter what and I strive to catch
those special expressions in my paintings.

"Blue Ribbon"
30x24 oil/linen

By
Anthony A. González

This painting is about a look and composition with very little color.
I wanted to have something in the foreground, but I could not get it to work.
When I left it alone and took a step back, I knew that simplicity was
all I needed. What do you think?

"Suspicious"
24x18 oil/linen
By
Anthony A. González

This painting works in many levels for me.
The expression, color, contrast, composition and texture.
What do you think?
It was not an easy painting, but when I finished it I think it all came together.

"Mikaila"
12x12 oil/linen
By
Anthony A. González

A small painting of a new model. She came to the studio
last week. I think she will do very well.
All the models I have modeling for me are amateur models.
They all have worked very well. I try very hard to
do them justice in my all work.

"I'll think about it"
12x9 oil/linen
By
Anthony A. González

The model was just taking a break. It seemed she was deep in thought.
It was a very quick painting.

"Determined"
12"x9"
By
Anthony A. González

Another small painting.
This one was little more difficult. There was more drapery,
but it all worked well.
Painting a small painting takes me as much time as a larger painting.
I don't know why it just does. But I do enjoy painting them.

"Until Then"
12"x 9"
By
Anthony A. González

I was inspired to paint a small painting, and here it is.
Painting wet in to wet works well when painting a
small painting. I'll work like this for a few more paintings.

"My little Black Hat"
12x9 Oil/linen
by
Anthony A. González

As you can see this painting was painted
very quickly. But I like effect.
I could paint like this all day long because
it takes off all the pressure of being too finish.

"It's Late"
12x9 Oil/ Linen
By
Anthony A. Gonzalez

I enjoyed painting this painting because it is very loose and I painted
it quickly. I used mostly a bristle brush. It made the painting look very painterly.
And the model had a great look that made it all come together.
I'm having a workshop on the 25th at my studio.

"And there she was"
12x9 Oil/linen
by
Anthony A. González

The model is from Tijuana
I had little time to photograph her when I was there.
I think she had a good stare and would make a good painting.
I have only a few references of her that I would like to paint.

"Three Faces of Eve"
24x18 oil/linen
by
Anthony A. González

Now this painting was a bit of a challenge. I've been wanting to paint
this painting in particular for some time. The size of the canvas and
figures were a challenge, but I like painting the figure at this size.
The warm colors had a good feel to them. The expressions on the models
were what I was looking for. All together I like the way
the painting turned out.

"She did not know"
36x18 oil/linen
by
Anthony A. González

I was not sure if this painting would work. I wanted a
little mystery in her look. A cool palette would have worked, but I
care more of the warm palette. Hope you'll like it.

"La Gitana"
40x30 Oil/Linen
by
Anthony A. González

I had a great time painting this one. First it is good size painting and
the model looked great outdoors. It had so many textures to work with
that it took me sometime to work out. I think that the model and costume
worked very well. I'm looking forward to another outdoor painting.

"Silent Stare"
12x9 Oil/Linen
by
Anthony A. González

It's great to start a New Year painting. I had no other reason than to
just paint in my studio today.
This painting was meant to loosen me up after the long holidays.
I chose this painting because of her stare and contrast. I have always
liked to paint in a low-key light. It has a good dramatic effect. The
colors are warm and the brush strokes are loose. I don't think a very
finished painting was necessary in this case.
