Kick off the tour weekend on Friday evening, February 17, 6:00-9:00 pm, at the not-to-be-missed ON & OFF FRED AUTOGRAPH PARTY and Opening Reception at Bihl Haus Arts, 2803 Fredericksburg Rd. On exhibit will be works by each of the studio tour artists who will be on hand to autograph your personal copy of the catalog (bring it with you or purchase at the door). Latin fusion by Los Nahuatlatos, hors d’oeuvres, wine, and the opportunity to mingle with artists, event sponsors, and community leaders fill the evening. (Free parking at Redeemer Church, 2700 Fredericksburg Road @ Quentin.)
On Saturday evening, February 18th, after the tour, enjoy ON & OFF FRED IN THE PARK, an outdoor concert (weather permitting) by South Texas Jazz in the triangular park at 800 Fredericksburg Road @ Michigan Ave., 5:30-9:00 pm. Bring your blanket, lawn chairs, and picnic to this family-friendly event. (Free parking at Beacon Hill Presbyterian Church, 1101 W. Woodlawn @ Michigan Ave.)
And finally, on Sunday evening, February 19th, 5:30-8:30 pm, join us for SAY GOODNIGHT, FRED, the closing reception at Long Hall Gallery, 618 W. Craig Place.
