In this painting I am trying to capture the look of 

wanting to know.  I have her staring so that I can have 

the viewer connect with her feelings.  It is a simple 

composition and I think the red in the scarf gives 

an interest to the painting as well as her expression.

Here are a couple of photographs from the 

Sixth Anniversary Show at the 

Long Hall Gallery.

My son, A. Andrew Gonález, myself and

other artists showed our paintings 

and sculptures at this show. It was

attended by a very great crowd.

For entertainment we had Flamenco Dancers 

that performed for us all.

All and all it was a very good night!

"Oil Sketch"

Here I felt like using a bristle brush

and heavy paint.  It was an oil sketch

so I painted it in one and a half hours.

This freed me from over thinking the work

and keeping it as simple as possible.  I 

included a close up to show the brush strokes
